The American Legal Defense Fund is a Delaware non-profit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(6) of the US Internal Revenue Code. EIN 86-3546506.
As a non-partisan national organization, we protect and promote the civil rights of Americans, particularly those in technology driven fields such as finance, healthcare, digital currency, energy, and artificial intelligence against abuse by U.S. federal and state government prosecutors.
We assist in litigation defense, education and advocacy on behalf of Americans to secure justice and protect civil rights.
History
In 2021, a small group of New York entrepreneurs and lawyers came together to create a new organization focused on the legal needs of American entrepreneurs pioneering new approaches in technology driven fields that were being unfairly attacked by U.S. federal and state government prosecutors, typically for political reasons.
As a result, the American Legal Defense Fund was established as a 501(c)(6) non-profit national organization to fight against prosecutorial abuse, secure justice and protect the civil rights of Americans.
